We are publishing this tutorial today, but Nginx is available with ServerAvatar since past week. We were working on eliminating each and every possible error/confusion/exceptions before publishing this tutorial.
It’s because Nginx was the most demanded web server by our customers. So, No need to wait! Let’s dive straight into the tutorial!
Good news is, you don’t have to change the way you work with ServerAvatar panel. It does not matter if you use Apache or Nginx, you’ll be able to access all the features on ServerAvatar panel the same way!
Configure Nginx (LEMP) using ServerAvatar
We have made this process as easy as you can imagine. You can select whether you want to install and configure LAMP (Apache) or LEMP (Nginx) on your server while you are connecting your server.
Based on your choice, ServerAvatar will configure and tune your server. Considering you have a server ready to for configuration, Click on the Add button given on the top-right corner of the dashboard.
From the drop down, Click on Server and you will get a simple form to fill up, Just like you did till now. However, you’ll see one extra option that you can control.
The new option is to select the web server. You’ll get a clear idea from the following screenshot.
Enter the required information and then click on Nginx after the “I don’t have root password” checkbox. Then, Click on the Add Server button and sit back with comfort while ServerAvatar configures LEMP stack on your server.
Conclusion: It’s very happy to know that we were able to satisfy the requirements of our customers and they are loving it! However, there is one thing you might want to know if you are going to configure your next server with Nginx, htaccess files does not work with Nginx. Which means, no matter how much you edit your htaccess file, It will be ignored like a regular file.
So, If you love htaccess file, We recommend you to stick with Apache. Let us know if you are facing issues following this tutorial and also let us know if you need more help! We’ll get back to you with solution as soon as possible.Sharing is caring 🙂
