Managing servers should feel less like fighting a complex machines. You want clear indicators, smooth controls, and confidence that everything is working as expected. That’s exactly where ServerAvatar v7.15.5 steps in.

This latest update focuses on visibility, control, and ease of use. Whether you are a developer, a business owner, or someone hosting applications for clients, this release gives you more insight into what’s happening on your server and more power to act quickly, without digging through confusing dashboards or running endless commands.

We’re excited to announce ServerAvatar v7.15.5, packed with powerful monitoring tools, deeper Cloudflare controls, smarter Git handling, and meaningful UI enhancements to improve your server management experience.

Overview of ServerAvatar v7.15.5

ServerAvatar v7.15.5 is not about flashy changes; it’s about meaningful improvements. This release strengthens monitoring tools, enhances Cloudflare integration, improves Git deployment reliability, and polishes the overall user experience.

The goal is simple: give you clarity and control without complexity.

Server Process List Monitoring

ServerAvatar now lets you monitor running server processes in real time directly from the server panel. You can easily track CPU and memory usage without needing to access the server via SSH.

With this update, you can now

View all active server processes instantly from the dashboard

Monitor CPU and RAM usage for each individual process

Why It’s Useful

When a server slows down, guessing is risky. This feature lets you spot problems immediately. It’s like opening the hood of your car and instantly seeing which part is overheating, no tools required.

Database Process List & Query Monitoring

ServerAvatar’s Query Monitor now provides real-time visibility into database processes and query activity. This helps you track what’s happening inside your database and quickly spot performance issues as they occur.

Identify long-running or stuck queries easily

Hey there, ServerAvatar users and tech explorers! Keeping a server running and managing it smoothly can sometimes feel like a headache, but not with ServerAvatar. ServerAvatar v7.15.3 is now live with several important updates focused on improving control, flexibility, and overall user experience. This release brings enhancements to log monitoring, PHP management, SSL handling, UI usability, and application-level controls.

The goal of this update is simple: make server and application management more reliable, more transparent, and easier to handle for users of all experience levels. In this blog, we’ll walk through every major feature, improvement, and fix included in ServerAvatar v7.15.3.

This release is not about flashy changes alone, it’s about removing friction from daily server tasks and giving users more confidence and clarity. Whether you’re managing a single website or multiple applications, these updates are designed to make your life easier without adding complexity.

Let’s walk through what’s new and why it matters to you.

Overview of ServerAvatar v7.15.3

This release improves how users interact with servers and applications inside the ServerAvatar dashboard. The update adds better controls at the server level and application level, improves notifications, and refines the interface to reduce manual effort.

The changes are especially helpful for users managing multiple applications or working with different PHP versions and monitoring setups.

Feature Update Highlights

1. Log Monitoring Suite (InsightHub) Management

Logs are like a server’s diary, they tell you exactly what happened and when. ServerAvatar now allows full control over the Insighthub Log Monitoring Suite. With this update, Insighthub log monitoring becomes far more flexible.

You can now easily install, update, or remove Insighthub at:

Server level

Application level

This means you’re no longer locked into a one-size-fits-all setup. You decide where deep monitoring is needed and where it’s not.

What’s new
Users can:

Install Insighthub at the server level

Install Insighthub at the application level

Update Insighthub when a new version is available

Remove Insighthub when monitoring is no longer needed

Why this matters

Previously, log monitoring options were more limited. With this update, users can choose exactly where detailed log tracking is required. This helps reduce unnecessary monitoring overhead and keeps logs focused on critical applications.

Manage Log Monitoring Suite

1) Install Log Monitoring Suite While Creating Application

Ever felt your website slow down even when your VPS should handle the traffic? You’re not alone. Many site owners and developers face this issue, and often the culprit isn’t the CPU or disk speed, it’s swap memory scaling and inefficient memory management.

Today, we’ll unlock a simple but powerful idea: Smart Swap Memory Scaling, and how it can dramatically boost the performance of your VPS, especially when managed with ServerAvatar.

No intimidating technical complexes. Just clear explanations, relatable analogies, and practical guidance you can apply today, even if you’re new to VPS hosting. Let’s dive in.

What Is VPS Memory and Why Swap Memory Scalling Matters

A VPS (Virtual Private Server) behaves a lot like your personal computer, just hosted on the cloud. It has CPU, storage, and memory.

Memory, especially, plays a huge role in keeping everything running smoothly. When a VPS runs out of memory, it starts struggling, loading becomes slow, services lag, and sometimes your site simply stops responding.

That’s where smart memory management comes in.

The Basics: What Is RAM?

Think of RAM as your desk surface.

A big desk: You can spread out files and work fast.

A small desk: You stack papers, move things around, or worse… stuff falls off.

In VPS terms:

RAM stores active processes, the parts of your website and server that are “working right now”.

When you have enough RAM, everything stays fast and snappy.

But when RAM fills up? That’s when swap steps in.

What Is Swap Memory?

Swap memory is like a temporary filing cabinet beside your desk.

When RAM is full, the server moves less active data into swap. This frees up RAM for things that need instant attention.

The trade-off? Swap is slower than RAM, because it lives on disk, not in super-fast memory. Still, having swap is better than running out of RAM completely.

Why Traditional Swap Isn’t Enough

Traditional swap setups are rigid. They:

Have a fixed size you define once: Once set, the swap size stays the same and cannot automatically adapt to changing server needs.

Don’t adjust if your workload suddenly increases: Traditional swap does not respond when traffic or resource usage spikes unexpectedly.

Can slow things down if overused: If too much data is pushed into swap, server performance may drop because disk access is slower than RAM.

It’s like having a one-size-fits-all drawer next to your desk, sometimes it’s too small, other times too big and useless. That’s where Smart Swap steps in.

Smart Swap Memory Scaling Explained

Smart Swap Memory Scaling is an intelligent approach to swap management. Instead of a fixed space, the swap can expand and contract based on actual needs.

Imagine working on a big project and needing more desk space for a while, smart swap is like magically expanding your desk only when you need it.

This helps your VPS handle bursts of activity without crashing while still staying efficient and responsive.

How Smart Swap Works

Behind the scenes, smart swap watches how the server uses memory. When RAM starts to fill up, it:

Moves only the least important data into swap: Smart swap shifts low-priority tasks out of RAM while keeping critical processes active.

Frees up precious RAM for high-priority tasks: By clearing unnecessary memory usage, RAM remains available for important applications.

Brings data back from swap when RAM becomes available: When memory pressure reduces, smart swap automatically restores data from disk to RAM.

All of this happens automatically, you do not have to make any efforts.

Regular Swap Memory vs Smart Swap Memory

Let’s compare the Smart Swap with the Regular Swap:

Feature

Regular Swap

Smart Swap

Size

Fixed

Dynamic

Performance

Can lag under pressure

Smooth transitions

Efficiency

Often over or under-utilized

Matches real usage

Stability

Risk of slowdowns

Helps stability

Smart Swap almost always wins in real-world situations.

Real-World Benefits of Swap Memory Scaling for VPS Performance

Here’s how Smart Swap helps your server right away:

Prevents sudden crashes when memory fills up: Smart swap acts as a buffer that stops the server from failing due to memory overload.

Keeps services responsive under load: Applications continue running smoothly even when the server is handling heavy traffic.

Helps the system stay stable during traffic spikes: Temporary increases in visitors are managed without disrupting server performance.

Avoids the dreaded “out of memory” errors: Proper swap handling ensures the server doesn’t run out of usable memory unexpectedly.

In short, it makes your VPS feel faster and more reliable.

How Swap Memory Scaling Helps Your Website Stay Responsive

When users visit your site, every click triggers server work. If memory runs low, the server slows down, just like how you slow down when your desk gets messy.

By using swap intelligently, your server always has a safety net. It’s not a magic bullet for speed, but it’s like an insurance policy against slowdowns and crashes.

Smart Swap Memory Scaling with ServerAvatar

What is ServerAvatar?
ServerAvatar is a platform to simplify the hosting and management of servers and applications. It simplifies the process of deploying and managing PHP and Node.js based web applications on servers.

Within minutes, ServerAvatar will apply the change and reflect the new swap size in your dashboard. No scripts. No manual editing, and no command line. Just point and click simplicity.

Swap Memory Scaling for Traffic Spikes and Big Loads

Swap becomes especially useful when:

Your server handles sudden traffic surges: Swap memory helps your server stay stable when many users visit at the same time.

You run multiple applications at once: Swap allows different apps to share memory smoothly without slowing each other down.

Memory needs change day to day: Swap adapts to varying workloads, ensuring your server performs well even as usage fluctuates.

Instead of hiring extra hardware or upgrading plans prematurely, smart swap gives you buffer space when needed and retracts when not.

If your CPU is the engine and RAM is the fuel, swap is your emergency reserve tank, not meant for regular use but lifesaving when you need it.

Who Should Care About Swap Memory Scaling?

Almost anyone using a VPS can benefit:

Bloggers with unpredictable visitors: Swap memory helps keep the blog online even when traffic suddenly increases.

eCommerce stores during promotions: Swap prevents slowdowns or crashes when many shoppers visit at the same time.

Developers testing resource-heavy applications: Swap provides extra memory support while running demanding tests or tools.

Agencies managing multiple client sites: Swap helps balance memory usage across many websites on a single VPS.

New VPS users without deep system knowledge: Swap acts as a safety net, keeping the server stable without complex setup.

The beauty of smart swap is its adaptability for all skill levels, whether you’re new to servers or an experienced engineer.

Common Misconceptions About Swap Memory Scaling

Let’s clear a few:

Myth: Swap always slows down your site
Truth: Badly configured swap can hurt performance, but smart, dynamic swap helps prevent slowdowns.

Myth: Swap means your VPS has low RAM
Truth: Even large-RAM servers can run better with smart swap when unexpected peaks occur.

Myth: You need command-line skills to manage swap
Truth: With ServerAvatar, you don’t.

Conclusion

Smart Swap Memory Scaling isn’t just a buzzword; it’s a practical, real-world way to make your VPS more reliable, responsive, and forgiving under stress.

When you use a server management dashboard like ServerAvatar, managing swap stops being a system admin’s chore, it becomes a few clicks in your dashboard.

Think of Smart Swap as your VPS’s safety net, silently working behind the scenes to keep your sites running smoothly, even when things get busy.

It’s like giving your server a flexible memory buffer that shows up only when it’s needed most.

If you manage websites or applications, you already know how quickly online threats are evolving. One wrong request, a single malicious bot, or a tiny security loophole can lead to downtime, spam, data theft, or even a hacked server. That’s exactly where the 8G Firewall steps in, and now, it’s available directly inside ServerAvatar, ready to guard your Apache, Nginx, and OpenLiteSpeed servers in just a click.

Whether you’re hosting a personal blog, a client project, or a SaaS platform, adding a powerful security layer shouldn’t feel like another “DevOps headache”. ServerAvatar has made it effortless.

Let’s take a complete look at how it works and why you should enable it right away.

What Is the 8G Firewall?

The 8G Firewall is a highly-refined security ruleset designed to protect web servers from malicious requests, bots, and common cyberattacks. Think of it as a security guard that checks every visitor at the gate and instantly blocks suspicious behavior, long before it ever reaches your application or database.

It works at the server level, filtering out harmful requests before they consume server resources or cause damage.

The Evolution: From 5G to 8G Firewall

If you’ve been around the web for a while, you may remember the earlier “G-series” firewalls. They weren’t physical devices but secure rule frameworks built to block evolving online threats.

Here’s a quick evolution:

Version

Timeframe

Security Level

Notes

5G Firewall

Early Web Era

Basic

Focused mainly on spam + basic injections

6G Firewall

Growing Dynamic Web Phase

Moderate to Strong

Enhanced bot filtering, spam control, and early XSS/SQLi protection

7G Firewall

Modern Web Start

Strong

Protected against bots, XSS, SQLi, referrer spam

8G Firewall

Latest Generation

Strongest

Covers modern attack patterns & bots

The 8G Firewall is the most advanced version to date, and it reflects how digital attacks have evolved in speed, automation, and complexity.

Why It’s Trusted for Modern Web Protection

The 8G Firewall is trusted because it focuses on real-world threats that websites face today, not just the old, traditional attacks most basic firewalls were designed for. It’s built on years of research, community-driven testing, and continuous refinement of security rules.

What makes it so reliable is its ability to detect harmful patterns used by modern bots, automated hacking tools, and script-based attacks long before they reach your application. It doesn’t rely on heavy software or constant resource usage, yet it still blocks a wide range of malicious requests at the server level.

In a world where cyberattacks have become faster, smarter, and more automated, the 8G Firewall offers a proven, lightweight, and highly effective defense layer that both developers and security experts trust.

Why the 8G Firewall Still Matters Today

You may be thinking, “Aren’t servers more secure now than before?”

Yes – servers are smarter.

No – attackers have become smarter, faster.

Automated cyber-attacks, bot networks, and AI-driven hacking tools are constantly scanning websites looking for weak spots. Even the smallest project or low-traffic site is a target today.

That’s why the 8G Firewall still matters:

It works at the entry point, blocking threats early

It protects both small and large websites

It prevents resource wastage due to bot or malicious traffic

It adds a safety net without depending on bulky security tools

What is ServerAvatar?

ServerAvatar is a platform to simplify the hosting and management of servers and applications.

It simplifies the process of deploying and managing PHP and Node.js based web applications on servers. If you’re using ServerAvatar to manage your servers and applications.

Why ServerAvatar Integrated the 8G Firewall

ServerAvatar aims to simplify server management for developers, agencies, and businesses, without compromising on security. Adding the 8G Firewall directly into the platform means you don’t need to:

Manually edit configuration files

Look for scripts on the internet

Patch rules during updates

Configure different versions for different web servers

Instead, you get a pre-optimized, tested, and compatible version of the 8G Firewall tailored for:

Apache

Nginx

OpenLiteSpeed

This makes security a built-in, not a DIY task.

Zero Configuration Setup – Security Without Complexity

One of the biggest reasons people avoid server-level security tools is the fear of breaking something. Security rules can be intimidating, one wrong character in a config file and your site returns a 500 error.

ServerAvatar removes this burden completely:

No configuration needed

No rule writing or editing

No manual server patching

Just a simple enable button

For most users, it takes less than 30 seconds to activate.

How the 8G Firewall Works Behind the Scenes

The 8G Firewall monitors and filters incoming HTTP requests based on a series of security rules. When a request attempts something malicious, such as injecting code or accessing restricted files, the firewall blocks it instantly.

In simple terms:

If a request looks suspicious, it never reaches your website at all.

It checks for patterns such as:

Unusual URL strings

Suspicious user agents

Injection attempts

Unauthorized access requests

Bot-like behavior

This helps reduce server processing, prevent crashes, and keep your site clean from attacks.

How to Install and Enable the 8G Firewall

Enable the 8G Firewall on Apache

If your server is running Apache, the 8G Firewall rules are added into the server configuration through optimized rewrite rules.

Common exploit patterns

If a harmful request tries to pass through, the firewall blocks it instantly.

Lightweight and Performance-Optimized Design

Unlike security plugins or heavy firewall systems, the 8G Firewall has:

No extra CPU load

Minimal memory use

Near-zero latency impact

You get strong filtering without slowing down page speed.

Hey there, ServerAvatar users and tech explorers!

Running servers smoothly and securely shouldn’t feel like rocket science. With every new release, ServerAvatar keeps making server hosting and management simpler, faster, and more secure for developers, agencies, and SaaS owners.

We’re thrilled to announce the v7.15.0 update, which brings a powerful set of enhancements, from 8G Firewall security, easy swap memory control, and domain-supported site cloning and migration, to PHP 8.4 support for OLS, complete Joomla installation, and many more.

Plus, there’s an important update to Management Tiers that you should be aware of, especially if you’re an existing user.

Before we dive in, think of this update like moving from standard tools to an intelligent one. Everything becomes faster, safer, and more automated, so you can focus on your goals, not the technical details.

Let’s explore what’s new!

What’s New in v7.15.0?

The v7.15.0 release focuses on three key goals:

More security

More control

More simplicity

With security upgrades like the 8G Firewall and hosting enhancements such as PHP 8.4 support and domain-based cloning and migration, this update brings more power to your server management dashboard.

Here’s a breakdown of everything in detail:

8G Firewall – Stronger Website Security

Security is no longer optional, especially with rising cyber-attacks and bots constantly scanning for weakness. To boost website protection, ServerAvatar now includes the 8G Firewall, known for its lightweight yet powerful defense mechanisms.

What is the 8G Firewall?

The 8G Firewall is a security framework designed to block:

Malicious requests

Spam bots

SQL injection attempts

Cross-site scripting (XSS)

Bad user agents

Suspicious URL behaviors

Enable 8G Firewall

Navigate to the Server Dashboard for your preferred server

Click on the Applications Section from the left sidebar

Navigate to the Application Panel for your preferred application

Click on the Security Section from the left sidebar

Enable 8G Firewall

Why This Matters:

This acts as a security guard that checks every visitor at the gate. Only legit traffic gets inside; attackers are stopped at the door. It’s security made simple, set and forget.

Swap Memory Control – Manage Server Memory with Ease

Ever felt like your server is running out of space when traffic spikes? Swap Memory helps your server stay stable when RAM usage peaks.

With this update, you can now:

Increase Swap Memory

Decrease Swap Memory

Modify Swap Space anytime directly from the ServerAvatar Panel

Update Swap Memory

Navigate to the Server Panel for your preferred server

Click on Update Swap from the Swap Memory section

Why It’s Useful:

Think of swap memory as a backup oxygen cylinder for your server. When memory runs low, swap space prevents crashes or slowdowns. No SSH commands, no manual server tweaks, just a clean UI and one-click control.

Site Migration/Clone with Domain Option

Migrating or cloning sites is now even more effortless, especially with your domain setup included. Previously, the cloning or migration process would set up the site on a temporary domain, requiring manual domain configuration afterward.
Now you can:

Clone or migrate a site along with your domain configuration

Avoid domain misconfiguration errors

Reduce post-migration setup time

Site Migration:

Click on the Server Dashboard icon for your preferred server

Click on the Site Migration from the left sidebar

Fill up the required details

Site Clone:

Navigate to the Server Dashboard for your preferred server

Click on the Applications Section from the left sidebar

Navigate to the Application Panel for your preferred application

Click on the Site Clone from the left sidebar

Fill up the required details

Saves Time & Prevents Hassle:

Whether you’re an agency managing multiple client sites or a developer moving staging to production, this update removes extra steps.

PHP 8.4 Support for OpenLiteSpeed

PHP continues to evolve, and staying updated means better performance, security, and compatibility. With v7.15.0, ServerAvatar added support for PHP 8.4 for the OpenLiteSpeed (OLS) Stack.

With this, you will get:

Faster performance for scripts

Better error handling

Improved security

New features for modern applications

PHP 8.4 For OLS

Navigate to the Server Dashboard for your preferred server

Update the PHP-CLI Version from the General Settings section

You can also update the PHP version at the application level, allowing you to assign different PHP versions to different applications based on their specific requirements.

Set Up PHP 8.4 at the Application Level in OpenLiteSpeed

Go to the Server Dashboard of the server where your application is hosted

From the left sidebar, open the Applications section.

Select your application and open its Application Dashboard.

Navigate to the PHP Settings Section from the left sidebar

If you’re using OpenLiteSpeed, you can now switch to PHP 8.4 to improve performance and compatibility.

One-Click Complete Joomla Installation

Best For:

Agencies building multiple Joomla sites

Clients migrating from other CMS platforms

Developers who want a quick staging or demo setup

You save time, avoid setup errors, and launch projects faster.

Extra PHP Configuration (Per Application)

Every application has different needs. With this update, you now have more control over PHP settings at an individual application level. You can easily add and customize PHP directives and configurations specific to each application, including Session GC MaxLifetime.

Add Extra PHP Configuration

Navigate to the Server Dashboard for your preferred server

Navigate to the Applications Section from the left sidebar

Click on Application Dashboard for your preferred application

Navigate to the PHP Settings

Enter your preferred PHP Configuration in the Extra PHP Configuration section

Why This Matters:

Instead of applying global PHP settings across all apps, you can optimize performance and resource usage based on each application’s needs. No server-wide risk, application configurations per application.

For example:

Increase session lifetime for eCommerce

Fine-tune performance for Laravel apps

Customize limits for CRM or SaaS applications

Easily Access phpMyAdmin

Managing databases should be quick and intuitive, and now it is! ServerAvatar has improved access to phpMyAdmin for a more seamless experience.

What’s Improved?

Easy access to phpMyAdmin directly from the ServerAvatar dashboard

improved navigation and seamless UI flow

Easier database management

Hey there, ServerAvatar users and tech explorers!

We’re thrilled to announce the v7.14.0 update, a packed release that brings smarter automation, better notifications, enhanced UI, and more powerful server controls to your fingertips.

Think of this update like giving your dashboard a full upgrade, it’s faster, smarter, more intuitive, and incredibly user-friendly.

ServerAvatar now provides cloud hosting, making it easier than ever to launch and manage your servers, no third-party VPS account needed. You can create servers directly on DigitalOcean and Vultr, within your ServerAvatar account. Additionally, Linode and Hetzner are coming soon!

You can directly create a server from ServerAvatar, without extra hassle, no jumping between platforms, and no need for a Cloud Provider’s account. You can directly create a server from ServerAvatar.

Plus, we’ve introduced a new management tier-based system (instead of plans), so you only pay for the features you actually need. Tier 1 is completely free for the management of the server; just pay for your VPS plan, perfect for getting started. Need more advanced features? Just upgrade to a higher tier as per your requirement whenever you’re ready. Simple, flexible, and built for developers like you.

Whether you’re managing one server or managing applications across many, this update ensures you’re not just keeping up but staying ahead. Let’s dive into the details, and don’t worry, we’ve broken everything down in a simple, human-friendly way. Let’s explore all the updates and improvements:

Pushover Notifications

Tired of missing important alerts? With “Pushover channel”, you can now receive real-time alerts, notifications for your servers or applications events right on your phone or device. You can now create notification channels on Slack, Discord, Telegram, and Pushover.

This means you’re always in the loop, even when you’re away from your dashboard.

Backup Failure Alerts

Backups are critical, and when they fail, it’s a big deal. Now, if a backup fails during creation or restore process, you’ll get an instant notification, not just within ServerAvatar, but also via your chosen notification channel. Peace of mind. Right?

Smarter Bot Blocking with AI

We’ve introduced a smarter way to handle unwanted bot traffic. Our new AI Bot Blocker uses defined bot rules to detect and block suspicious activity, making your server more secure.

It’s like installing a smart gatekeeper at your digital front door.

Two-Way Staging Sync

Now you can synchronize your staging environment with production and vice versa, your production into staging environment, in just one click. Whether you’re testing new features or rolling back changes, this update gives you complete control and flexibility.

Perfect for developers who like to keep things clean and efficient.

You can now update or change your temporary domains from your application’s domain section. This gives you more control, especially during development and testing phases. No more digging around settings, it’s all in one place.

Smarter Search: Users & Organizations

We’ve added username-based search for application users and name-based search for organizations. Looking for someone specific? Type it in, boom, found. No more scrolling endlessly.

New PHP Open_basedir Setting Option

Advanced users! We’ve added a “None” option for open_basedir in your application’s PHP settings. PHP Openbase Directory is a security feature that restricts PHP’s access to files and directories to a specific path. This allows access to all the files under the specific application user, and a more flexible PHP configuration for apps that need it. Additionally, you can use it with caution, but enjoy the freedom!

Introducing version 7.13, packed with powerful new features and improvements that will not only enhance your daily tasks but redefine what’s possible. This update brings significant improvements to make your experience even better. Our team have listened to your feedback and made several tweaks to streamline your work and add useful features.

NEW FEATURES IN SERVERAVATAR V7.13

1. Instantly Purchase and Deploy Managed Servers from ServerAvatar

With Managed Server, you can instantly purchase and deploy a server from DigitalOcean and Vultr directly through the ServerAvatar panel.

In your wallet, you can use your credits to buy a server quickly and easily from within the panel.

The servers are billed on an hourly basis, so you only pay for the time and resources you actually use. This makes it a cost-effective solution for projects and businesses that scale over time.

During the purchase process, you can select your preferred technology stack based on your project requirements. The available stack options include Apache Stack, NGINX Stack, Openlitespeed Stack, and the MERN Stack (which consists of MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js). Along with the chosen stack, you can also select your preferred database from MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB. This flexibility allows you to customize your hosting environment to best suit your application’s needs.

As your server needs evolve, you can resize the server at any time. Whether you want to upgrade resources like CPU, RAM, or storage, the platform provides full flexibility.

2. Root Access Control

Now you can grant root access to any system or application user with a single click from Application user tab. If needed, you can also disable root access just as easily—no complex configurations required.

This feature gives you precise control over system permissions, allowing you to manage user access securely and efficiently. Whether you’re onboarding a new developer, managing application users, or tightening server security, you can make access changes instantly through the ServerAvatar panel.

3. Smart Framework-Based Setup

When you select a framework, the system automatically provides a tailored tech stack and configuration suggestions that match your selection. Whether you’re working with Laravel, Node.js, or another modern framework, you get everything configured to suit your project needs, without manual guesswork.

4. Latest Joomla & PrestaShop Installer

When you create a new Joomla or PrestaShop application, the system automatically deploys the latest and most secure version with just one click. You don’t need to manually download or install latest version.

5. Instant Framework Updates

You can instantly update frameworks like Mautic, Moodle, Statamic, and Uptime Kuma directly from the Application Settings. Node-RED can also be updated seamlessly from the Server Settings. No need to perform manual upgrades or deal with complex command-line operations—the update process is fully automated and integrated into the platform. Maintain the latest features and security enhancements across all supported applications with just a few clicks.

6. Toggle Log Monitoring Per App

You can now enable or disable log monitoring for each application directly from the Application settings. This gives you more control over which apps generate logs and when.

If you have any testing, demo, or non-critical sites where log data isn’t essential at the moment, you can choose to disable log monitoring for those. This helps reduce unnecessary log clutter and improves overall monitoring efficiency.

Please note: Once you disable log monitoring for an application, new logs and data will no longer be collected or displayed. You will still be able to access historical logs and data generated before log monitoring was disabled, but no new log entries will be captured until monitoring is re-enabled.

7. One-Click Craft CMS Deployment

Deploying a powerful and flexible content management system has never been easier. With the new one click Craft CMS deployment feature, you can instantly launch Craft CMS directly from the App Installation panel—no technical setup, command line access, or manual configuration required.

Whether you’re a developer, designer, or content manager, this one-click solution streamlines your workflow by automating the entire installation process. Within seconds, you’ll have a fully operational instance of Craft CMS running on your server, pre-configured for optimal performance and security.

8. Real-Time Server Alerts

Stay informed with real-time alerts for server load, disk usage, memory consumption and many more. The system continuously monitors your servers and instantly sends alerts via email and your integrated notification channels (like Slack, Discord, Telegram). This way, you don’t have to check your email every time—just stay updated directly through your preferred notification platform

9. Supercharged Global Search

The global search lets you quickly find what you need across your entire infrastructure, without having to dig through different panels. Simply search using key details from any of the following categories:

Servers: Easily search for your servers by their name, IP address, web server type, or the provider name.

Applications: Find applications by their name, primary domain, or the framework they’re built on.

Databases: Quickly locate databases by their name or type.

Database Users: Search for database users by their username.

System Users: Find system users by their username.

Cronjobs: Look up cronjobs by their name.

With this feature, you can quickly jump to the exact resource you’re looking for, saving time and improving your workflow. No need to browse through endless lists—just enter a keyword and get results instantly.

UI/UX Updates

One of the major highlights of this update is the introduction of a brand-new credit system called Server Credit. Previously, users could only use Management Credit to purchase services, plans, and add-ons within ServerAvatar. From now on, you can use the same credits to purchase and manage your servers seamlessly.

To make it easier to track and manage your credits spending, we’ve introduced two separate summaries to help you analyze your expenses more effectively. The Management Summary displays all transactions made using Management Credit, such as add-ons or plan upgrades purchased from ServerAvatar. The Server Summary, on the other hand, provides a breakdown of credits used by purchased servers from ServerAvatar , including detailed monthly and yearly spend insights.

After 6 months of research and development, ServerAvatar v7.0 is live! In this Post, I am going to cover the differences between ServerAvatar v6.4 and ServerAvatar v7.0.

I have also included the coupon code in the end of this post to get flat 35% off on ServerAvatar credits. The code works for existing customers too.

So, ServerAvatar v7.0 is very different from v6.4. Here are the new features we have included in v7.0. After that, We will discuss the major changes that might confuse you when you open the panel.

New features in ServerAvatar v7.0.

ServerAvatar is packed with new sets of features that will make your cloud management experience even more secure and fast. Here are some of the new features we have launched in this update.

IP Whitelisting (Security)

Node.js Installation and Support

Roles and Permission Management

Direct Server Sharing

Supervisor Process Management

MariaDB Support

S3 Compatible Cloud Storage Integration

Dark Mode

Custom Notification Channels – Slack, Telegram and Discord.

Ioncube Installation

Other than these new features, We have worked very hard and smart to make UI/UX improvements as well as overall server management possible for bigger teams.

Here are the changes made in the user interface of ServerAvatar v7.0.

UI/UX Improvements

We learned a lot from v6.4. We understood the path users were taking to reach a specific page. Or, if an user is getting blocked on the interface. As a result, we made the following changes in v7.0.

Backups are accessible directly from the dashboard.

Auto-deploy is moved to application creation wizard (3+ Git Platforms and 5 Auto-installers).

Added breadcrumbs to wizards and other pages.

Main menu is directly accessible from any page.

Other than that, If you access the dashboard of ServerAvatar, You will see that all the processes are streamlined and is easier to work with than the previous version.

Changes in Team Management

In the previous version of ServerAvatar, We only provided basic team management where you can add or remove team members in a team and manage multiple teams.

However, the team management in ServerAvatar v7.0 is completely different. With the new version, You can share access to your servers for wide range of use cases. The whole server sharing and team sharing idea is divided into two parts. They are:

Trusted Members (Organisation Members): For people who work with you in the same organisation and needs access to all the servers, You can add them as members in your organisation. You can also create and assign roles to the team members.

Temporary Sharing (Freelancers): Now you can share servers with freelancers or anyone who might need temporary access to your servers. The idea is to make server sharing as easy as sheet sharing.

How this will affect you? If you were managing multiple teams in ServerAvatar v6.4, All your servers from multiple teams are moved to a single organisation. So, you will see all your servers in a single organisation. As there is no teams like previous version, All your servers are shared with your team members using Temporary server sharing. You can manage server sharing for each server using the “Sharing” option on the server panel.

Billing & Pricing Changes

There are a few changes in billing and pricing too. We understood few pain points of our users and tried to solve them as efficiently as we can. Here are the changes made in billing and pricing.

Hourly Pricing: Yes, Now you will only be charged for number of hours you manage your server with ServerAvatar. The hourly pricing to manage a server is $0.008/hour/server. Which converts roughly to $6/month/server. All your existing servers will be charged at $4.72 per month per server. New servers will be charged based on new pricing.

Monthly Billing: Previously, You got a payment receipt when you made payment to ServerAvatar. Now, those payments are simply the payments you made to recharge your wallet. Proper invoices will be generated every month on 1st containing total charges based on the services you have used. And the invoices will be paid from your wallet (credits). If credits are missing, You would have to add credits to your account before the due date of the invoice.

Other than this, there are no major changes in this section. Now, Let’s cover the common issues you might face.

Common issues after upgrade

Just after the launch, We got feedback from many customers informing us about issues in some parts of ServerAvatar. If you are affected with any of the following issues, The solutions are provided.

My Servers are showing Disconnected: This might be due to failure to connect with your server at the time we were processing updates on all the servers. This might happen due to lots of reasons including bad network of the server. In this case, simply contact support and let us know the IP addresses of the servers that are disconnected. The team will upgrade your servers to v7.0.

My Backups are not working: We had issues with integration when we moved ServerAvatar v7.0 to production. But we have pushed a few updates and solved all the issues related to backups already.

I am unable to login: If your account was dormant for a long time, there are chances that it is not migrated to ServerAvatar v7.0. In this case, Let the support know your E-mail address. We will migrate your account to v7.0 in no time.

Other than this, The launch and migration from ServerAvatar v6.4 to v7.0 was a huge success!

Final Words, And the Discount code!

After this update, ServerAvatar is a very strong competitor in the market for Server Management. With hourly pricing, ServerAvatar allows anyone to manage servers temporarily at very low prices. Unlike other server management panels, ServerAvatar allows you easy team management and now the team management in ServerAvatar is highly scalable and usable.

Other than that, ServerAvatar also provides 3 different web server options and 2 different database server options. ServerAvatar also provides Node.js installation now. So, You can host any (.js) site on your servers.

Finally, We are providing Flat 35% Off on ServerAvatar credits. Use the following coupon code while recharging your ServerAvatar wallet to get the discount.

– Coupon Code: V7ROCKS

To recharge your ServerAvatar wallet, Click here to access your wallet. Then enter the amount and apply the coupon code. This code is enabled for first 100 transactions only. So, hurry up if you want to get discounts on ServerAvatar services.

As everything from the update is covered, I hope you will love working on ServerAvatar v7.0. I hope it makes your cloud management experience better.

The post Introducing ServerAvatar v7.0: With Introductory discount code! first appeared on ServerAvatar.

We built the 5th version of ServerAvatar keeping the public API in mind. We launched it 9 months ago. It was not possible to make the API public in that version because we had a lot on a plate and making an API public is not something you can take lightly.

So, we launched the 6th version of ServerAvatar in February 2020. It is faster, more reliable and awesome! Finally, we made ServerAvatar API documentation live on 7th March 2020.

Today, I am creating an official post regarding the launch. So, Let’s see what I am going to cover in this article.

Possibilities!

How the billing part is handled?

How to create an API Token?

The first part is the main reason why many of our customers were asking for API access. So, Let’s get started with the possibilities.

Possibilities

So, What is an API? If you don’t know, API stands for Application Program Interface. It simply allows you to use a 3rd party service programmatically from your application.

In the case of ServerAvatar, You can do stuff like creating an application, installing WordPress, Managing Databases programmatically from your application without actually logging in to the ServerAvatar.

So, If you are thinking about creating an online portal to manage your web hosting clients, You can! It requires a bit of programming knowledge but with a good idea, you can create a profitable product too.

Let’s see some examples.

Managed WordPress Hosting

Customized Server Management Panel

ServerAvatar API allows you to deploy new WordPress applications on your servers without any manual work. You can also update essential PHP settings and perform actions like install SSL Certificates instantly.

How the billing part is handled?

The billing is the same as the regular ServerAvatar application. It means that you can send us the plan you want to purchase for a specific server with a server creation request.

The pricing per server is as follows.

Newbie: $2.36/month

Pro: $4.72/month

You can also have 1 free server in your account. You must have enough credits to create a server. And, you can also select a team while creating a server.

To use our API, you need an API token for your account. You can generate the API token from the account section on the ServerAvatar application. Let’s see how to generate a new API key.

How to create an API Token?

To create an API token, log in to your ServerAvatar account and click on the Account -> Manage option from the top-right corner of the page.

On this page, you will find two cards. The first one will allow you to update your basic account information and the other section one will allow you to enable/disable API token.

Once the API is enabled in your account, you will see your API token just like this.

Click on the Reload button to refresh your API token. Refreshing an API token might break the application running on this API token. So, make sure to update the API key in your application too!

You can also disable the API access if you don’t want to manage your ServerAvatar account programmatically.

Conclusion: So, the ServerAvatar API is out! Now, as a developer, you can automate the processes and work on new ideas! Please let us know in the comment section if you have any questions regarding this topic. We will get back to you as soon as possible with the answer.

The post Introducing ServerAvatar API first appeared on ServerAvatar.

I know, 26th January was a launch date fixed for ServerAvatar Six. But you are still using the current version. And there are some updates that I want to share with you regarding the development and launch process of ServerAvatar Six.

First of all, let me tell you How we decide the launch dates and develop the application. We decide the features and changes we want to make for the new version. Based on the number of features and complexity of updates, I decide the launch date.

The launch dates I decide are always so ambitious and that puts the whole team under pressure to develop fast. It is good as it allows everyone to try new things and find methods to work faster on the system.

However, The structure of our startup is not so corporate. I have given one field to each team member to work on. For example, One person works on API, The other works on Frontend, and everyone in the team has each field to work on.

And I expect responsibility from each and every team member. The issue is, One team member didn’t show enough dedication and responsibility for the work that was given. I came to know about this before 10 days of launch.

ServerAvatar worked well with the module that was developed, but I was not satisfied with the stability, usage, and quality of that module. So, I fired that team member and assigned that module to another team member.

We developed the same module in-house from scratch keeping stability, quality and security in mind. It is developed for the last few days already. The ServerAvatar Six version is ready to launch for the last 24 hours.

But as we had to develop one important part of the application in a hurry, I don’t want to take it to production before properly testing it. We didn’t get time to test the final product properly. That is why you didn’t see the newer version today.

After all this, I have to change the launch date so that we can get enough time to test the application so that our customers don’t face issues while working on the actual servers – It is very important for me.

However, I will make up to you for this delay. Here are some things that we are adding to ServerAvatar Six.

Custom SSH Port

SSH is a very sensitive port. Because it is the entry point of the server. A very important service that requires much protection. Many of our customers asked for custom SSH port, and we are ready to launch it finally in this version.

In ServerAvatar six, you will be able to update the SSH port on your server. You can keep it to whatever value you want. And it is very easy to update. It only takes a few clicks.

PHP 7.4

Yes!! In ServerAvatar Six, you will be able to migrate your applications to PHP7.4. You can also run other applications on the same server on other PHP versions.

PHP7.4 is launched since November 2019 and it is faster than the older versions. It has many new features that developers can use to develop applications fast in PHP.

The current servers will also get the PHP7.4 in their settings! It will not require any downtime and we are going to handle all the updates automatically.

One more thing! The last time I posted, I uploaded screenshots of the new panel. However, that design was not final, The layout was perfect but color scheme needed a small change. We did it, finally! The user interface and color codes and stuff like that is fixed!

Here is what you will get!

Me and the team are so excited to launch this awesome awesome thing!

Now, The Important Thing!

Updated Launch Date

As I mentioned in the first section of this article, There is a module that wasn’t built properly, We built it finally and it is ready. But we need some time to test it before we launch it in the production.

10th February 2020

It’s 15 days, we are also going to build the features I mentioned above as well as test the whole system. Thanks for your patience, we are very happy to build something awesome for you!!

The post A Small Update in ServerAvatar Six Launch first appeared on ServerAvatar.
