Automated Alerts
Server alerts are simple Email notifications when CPU, RAM, Storage, or Server Load on your Server exceeds a specific threshold.
Let’s say, If you have a Server with 2 cores, and your 15 minutes Server load exceeds 2.00, Your site might get slow. Or, If your storage is full, Your MySQL can go down.
Server Alerts in ServerAvatar allows you to set a threshold to trigger an Email notification to you. From our previous example, If you have 2 cores on your Server, You can set 15 minutes Server load alert at 1.7 to take a quick action before your site, or the system slows down.
You can set alerts for the following metrics.
- 15 Minute Server Load (in %)
- Memory
- Disk Usage
- 5 Minute Load Average
- 15 Minute Load Average
Now, Let’s see how you can customise the thresholds.
Step 1: First, log in to the ServerAvatar Account.
Step 2: Click on the Server Dashboard button.
Step 3: Now, you will see the option Alerts on the left-hand sidebar of the Server Panel. Click on Alerts.
Step 4: Now, you will see the Alerts form like the below image.
Step 5: To get the right notifications at the right time, set the above fields. Then, Click on the Save button.
