It provides a convenient and solution for user who need a simple yet powerful cloud platform for hosting websites, running pplications, and managing development projects.

Here is the step-by-step process to connect Amazon Lightsail with ServerAvatar:

Step 1: Log in to your ServerAvatar account.

Step 2: Click on the Create -> Server button at the server's top-right corner.

ServerAvatar provides below options of create an account on amazon lightsail or to link an account if you already have an account:

  1. Connect Existing Amazon Lightsail Account: If your Amazon Lightsail account is already linked to your system, you'll find it listed in the options. Simply select your account from the provided list, as shown in the below given image.

  2. Link Amazon Lightsail Account: If you already have an Amazon Lightsail account but haven't linked it yet, use the below provided link to integrate your Amazon Lightsail account with ServerAvatar.

  1. Create a New Amazon Lightsail Account: For new users without an existing Amazon Lightsail account, click on the "Create an account" option. This will redirect you to the AWS signup page. Once your account is set up, you can proceed to connect your Amazon Lightsail account with ServerAvatar.

Step 3: Once you've selected your Amazon Lightsail Account, enter the desired server name according to your preferences.

Step 4: Please select the appropriate radio button option based on your preference for Cleanup Server:

  • Yes: Proceed to automatically remove conflicting packages during the installation process.
  • No: Retain existing packages, even if conflicts occur.

Step 5: Choose the desired operating system image for your server:

  • Ubuntu 22.04: Select this option to install Ubuntu version 22.04 on your server.
  • Ubuntu 20.04: Opt for this option to install Ubuntu version 20.04 on your server.

Step 6: Select a Tech Stack.

When choosing your tech stack, consider the specific requirements of your project. If you decide to go with a Node Stack, it's important to note that MySQL and MariaDB are not compatible database options for this particular stack.

Step 7: Select a Database.

Step 8: Select a SSH Key.

  • Genetrate a new key: Select this option to generate a new SSH key. This will create a new private-public key pair for accessing your server securely.
  • Add public key: If you already have an SSH key generated, select this option to add the public key to your server. This allows you to use an existing SSH key for accessing your server.

Step 9: Install Node.js.

If you require Node.js installation, enable the toggle button.

If you select Node Stack as your tech stack, the Node.js installation option will not be shown, as it is inherently part of the Node Stack.

If you choose the Node Stack as your tech stack, you can enable Yarn by toggling the 'Install Yarn Along with Node' toggle button.

Step 10: Select a Server Location.

You'll find various server location options available for selection. Choose the region that best suits your needs.

Step 11: Select a Availability Zone.

Choose an availability zone for your server deployment.

Step 12: Select a Server Instance Size.

Here, you'll find various options for Server Instances, including cores, memory, storage, bandwidth, and pricing. Choose the option that best meets your server instance requirements.

Step 13: Click on Connect Now option.

Installation Process

While the installation is ongoing, you will be able to see which service is being installed and what is being configured. Here is the complete list of steps that ServerAvatar will follow to set up your server:

  • Install a web Server (Apache or Nginx, or OLS)
  • Install PHP and all its versions (From 7.2 to 8.3)
  • Install and configure PHP-FPM
  • Install and configure MySQL
  • Install and configure Redis
  • Create a SWAP Memory
  • Create basic Virtual host files
  • Install Git and Composer
  • Finalize and Testing

The entire process should take around 5 to 15 minutes. Once the server is fully configured, it will be ready to host PHP/WordPress sites directly from the server panel. This is how you can connect Amazon Lightsail server with ServerAvatar.
