Swap Memory

Swap memory acts as an overflow for RAM, allowing your server to move inactive memory pages to disk so applications can continue running when physical memory is low. You can increase or decrease swap size directly from the Server Panel.

Update Swap Memory from the Server Panel​

Step 1: Log in to your ServerAvatar account.

Step 2: Click on Servers in the left-hand sidebar of the Dashboard.

Step 3: Open the Server Panel by clicking the server's Dashboard button.

Step 4: In the server overview, locate the Swap Memory card and click Update Swap.

Step 5: In the popup, review the Current Swap Memory and enter the New Swap Memory value in GB.

Step 6: Click Update to apply changes.

The operation may take a minute. Once completed, the Swap Memory card will reflect the new size.
