Disk Cleaner

Disk Cleaner is a handy tool in ServerAvatar that helps you quickly free up space on your server. If you are running low on storage or expect to run out soon you can use Disk Cleaner to remove unnecessary data and reclaim disk space safely.

Over time, servers accumulate temporary files, old logs, cached data, and other items that are no longer needed. If you haven’t used Disk Cleaner for a long time or rarely clean up the server, you may be surprised by how much space this unused data consumes.

The Disk Cleaner in ServerAvatar is a one-click tool. You choose what you want to keep and what you want to delete, and ServerAvatar performs the cleanup for you. In a few seconds, your server can have significantly more free space.

How to use Disk Cleaner​

Step 1: Log in to your ServerAvatar account.

Step 2: Click on the server Dashboard button to open the server you want to clean.

Step 3: In the server panel sidebar, click Disk Cleaner.

Step 4: You will see the Disk Cleaner form, similar to the image below. Select the items or areas you want to clean (for example, temporary files, services logs, or other unused data) and review your selections carefully. When you are ready, click Save and Clean up to run the cleanup.

Enable automatic Disk Cleaner​

You can also schedule automatic cleanups so your server stays healthy without manual intervention.

Step 5: Enable Automatic Disk Cleaner and configure when it should run (for example, daily, weekly, etc). Set the schedule and options according to your needs, then click Save.
